Because justice matters carnival
Join us in hosting a Family Carnival for the Because Justice Matters community, complete with tasty treats, creative crafts, exciting games, and a special touch of magic. It's Indigenous Peoples' Day, so with kids out of school, it's the perfect day to serve together!
sf marin food bank
Ready to make a hands-on impact? Join our team for a volunteer shift at the SF-Marin Food Bank! We'll spend a few hours together in the warehouse, sorting fresh produce and packing grocery boxes for families and seniors in our community. It's an incredibly rewarding way to help fight hunger right here at home.
Christmas in october with because justice matters
Join us as we partner with our friends at Because Justice Matters (BJM). We’ll spend our time making cozy blankets for the BJM kids' Christmas baskets and putting together special Christmas gift kits for Eden Made, BJM's outreach to women in strip clubs in North Beach.
Family house BBQ
Join us as we provide a simple but meaningful gift to the families at Family House: a relaxing evening off. We will be hosting a BBQ on their lawn, grilling a delicious dinner so parents don't have to worry about cooking. We'll also be playing some fun, low-key games to give the kids a chance to just be kids. In the midst of hospital visits and treatments, this is our opportunity to provide a moment of peace, community, and carefree fun.
Larkin street youth
Join us for a rewarding volunteer event at Larkin Street Youth Services. After a quick tour, our group will divide to tackle two key projects: some of us will be working in the garden, and the others will be organizing the Career Closet to help youth prepare for interviews. It's a great chance to provide hands-on support and help empower young adults as they build their futures.
San francisco village
Join us for a hands-on volunteer event helping seniors in their homes. We'll meet for an orientation at SF Village HQ before splitting into small groups to visit a Village member and assist with simple household tasks.
Please note: For the safety of the members, a background check is required. Volunteers must also provide their own transportation to the senior's home. Sign up to make a direct and meaningful impact!
826 Valencia
Ready to amplify the voices of the next generation? Join us for a fun and creative volunteer event at 826 Valencia! We'll be helping young students brainstorm, write, and record their very own podcasts. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to help kids share their amazing stories with the world. Let's make some podcast magic!
glide
We will be working in the kitchen, assisting with meal distribution for GLIDE's daily Free Meals Program, which serves thousands of meals to the community each year. This is a direct way to support GLIDE's mission of providing nourishment and dignity to those in need.
Homeless prenatal program
Join us for a volunteer shift at the Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP) Pantry, a key resource for families in San Francisco. We will be assisting with various tasks, which may include stocking shelves, organizing donations, and packing bags of groceries for distribution to low-income and homeless families. This is a hands-on opportunity to directly support HPP's mission of providing essential nourishment and care to pregnant individuals and parents with young children.
refuse refuse
Join us for a community street cleanup with Refuse Refuse, a local nonprofit dedicated to beautifying our city. We'll be provided with all the supplies we need to pick up litter and make a tangible impact on our neighborhood. This is a great way to meet fellow community members and help create a cleaner, more vibrant San Francisco for everyone.
